Just the right amount of assistance can make all the difference in how you live each day. We pride ourselves on offering the right balance of programs and activities, with the extra help seniors may need with daily living tasks so they can enjoy the way they want to live. The key at Clay Center Presbyterian Manor is that we have built a close-knit community where residents get to know each other and our caring team members. It’s a neighborhood feel, where everyone can experience life at their own pace.
Wellness is about more than physical health. It’s about social engagement and finding purpose in daily life. At Clay Center Presbyterian Manor, the way you want to live is more than a tagline; it is a culture built on a method of delivering services and care to residents that promote all aspects of wellness: physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and more.

Are you able to manage daily living tasks and medications independently or keep up with household chores or home maintenance? Is there a plan in action in case you fall? Do you have a social life or hobbies that keep you active? Do you feel safe and secure at home, have reliable transportation or have family available to help as needed? If you answered no to most of these questions, it may be time to consider moving into an assisted living community. Our assisted living residents maintain active social lives, and they set their own daily schedules. They live in private apartments but enjoy having a maintenance-free lifestyle and receive the extra help that comes with assisted living. Assisted Living is meant to support you so you can live the way you want to live.
We have four different apartment styles at Clay Center Presbyterian Manor including a Studio, Large Studio, Studio Full Bath and Suite. You can view all our floor plans here.
Clay Center Presbyterian Manor is a level of care community which means pricing is based on the level of care a resident needs as well as the apartment style. Our community has five levels of care in assisted living.
No, we do not accept Medicaid in assisted living, but we do accept it in long term care. Should our residents outlive their resources due to no fault of their own, they can apply for the Good Samaritan Program which provides funds to keep residents in their home. For more than 70 years, Presbyterian Manor has not asked someone to leave our community on the sole factor that they exhausted their resources due to no fault of their own.
We provide transportation to scheduled medical appointments in town. This includes rides to primary care physicians, dental and vision offices.
Assisted Living apartments are unfurnished so you should bring any furniture, decor and personal items that will make your new apartment home. Schedule a tour or home visit so we can help you take measurements or create a furniture plan.
