When you start wondering if it's time to downsize, or thinking about having fewer household chores, it may be time to consider an independent living community. The ideal time is before you need extra help but when you're ready to give up mowing the lawn or making house repairs. You may want to get to know your neighbors, gain a sense of community, or desire to spend more time doing fun activities. When you want peace of mind for the future, while you're still active enough to enjoy the lifestyle benefits, you should consider moving into an independent living community. Make the choice yourself, not when someone has to make it for you. Residents in independent living have priority access to the continuum of care at senior living communities, so they can move into assisted living, health care, or rehab as needs change.
We do require an application for residency which includes a listing of income and assets. Any information provided remains confidential.
Independent living residences at Clay Center Presbyterian Manor are unfurnished so you will want to bring your own furniture to occupy your new home. Schedule a tour of our independent living residents and we could help you develop a furniture plan and provide resources on rightsizing as desired.
