Grateful for great reviews!

Independent living cottage residents Arlan and Arlene Habluetzel gave a lovely Pinnacle review, and it warms our hearts to hear what they had to say!

Under the “areas appreciated” segment, Arlan and Arlene said of Clay Center Presbyterian Manor, “we thought it was the best place to stay over all of them.”

They also went out of their way to acknowledge staff who have been especially helpful to them.

“I want to recognize Julie, who is in the bookkeeping department and is really good,” they wrote. “I want to recognize Gale Fowles, Craig Easterbrook, and Jake Newmeyer in maintenance. They are excellent and can do anything. They are all good.”

Arlan and Arlene also said they feel they have plenty of transportation to get back and forth to do shopping and make appointments.

“We have recommended them (Clay Center) to many folks and did so the other day,” they wrote. “I would tell them it’s a nice place to live. Most important to us is that we live in independent living, and they allow us to be independent, and if we need them they are there.”

Here at Clay Center, we’re thrilled to hear reviews like Arlan and Arlene’s. Choosing a retirement community is a big decision and one that can be filled with anxiety.

The Habluetzels said the decision was a difficult one to make, especially due to the amount of items they had collected over the years. However, after giving away or selling unnecessary items, they realized that they didn’t miss anything.

The couple shared that they like the peace of mind that comes with the fact that, when something breaks or bad weather comes, they don’t have to worry about making repairs or shoveling a driveway.
