New event carries familiar mission

Many residents of Clay Center Presbyterian Manor have encountered difficult and new challenges during the past several years, and their need for help from our community has grown.

Traditionally, the annual “Pasta with a Purpose” event has served as a unique event for friends and family to contribute to the Good Samaritan program, which raises funds to help close the financial gap for those in need.

After much consideration and discussion with our mission committee, we’ve decided that it’s time to start a new tradition – one with the same core mission to help our neighbors.

Baubles & Barrels will be held from 6-11 p.m. on November 10 at the Vintage Gardens Downtown. It will be a night to remember with jewels and a selection of wine, bourbon, and local beer all paired with a plated dinner.

There will even be a chance to win a diamond necklace valued at $500.

Your sponsorship and support of the Baubles & Barrels event will get us closer to our $10,000 fundraising goal and help us close the gap on roughly $125,000 of needed care and service. Last year 14 residents were served by the Good Samaritan Program at Clay Center.

The sooner you declare your sponsorship, the more information we can include about your organization in the event’s promotional materials.
