That's amore!

Pasta and love came together on April 13th at the United Methodist Life Center for the renewal of the Pasta With a Purpose fundraiser.

This event used to be an annual dinner to help raise funds for the Good Samaritan Program. Due to Covid we haven't been able to have it for the past two years. This year we had a great turnout of about 150 people and raised over $4,000.

A slide show was played of what the residents have been up to the last year, while guests enjoyed three different types of pasta: Classic Chicken alfredo Grilled Chicken, served in homemade Alfredo Sauce served over fettucini Pasta; Bow Tie Pasta tossed with White Wine lemon Cream Sauce with Sauteed Cherry tomatoes, green onions and mushrooms; and Homemade Meatballs simmered in traditional red sauce served over Spaghetti. The dinner also included salad and cobbler for dessert. We also held a raffle, with winners listed below.

All proceeds went to the Good Samaritan Program. Seventeen residents depend on the community to support the Good Samaritan Program at Clay Center Presbyterian Manor, at a cost nearly $165,000 annually.  To learn more about how you can help support residents in your community, visit https://giving.presbyterianmanors.org/
